Brookyln-based singer-songwriter Harriette has released her latest track: ‘Goodbye Texas’. It’s an instantly catchy track defined by jagged, punchy guitar chords and her effortless lead vocal. While leaning towards a modern pop sound generally, you can still feel the influence of country music in the twang of slide guitars that wander around in the background of the texture. “I wrote ‘Goodbye Texas’ two years ago as I was driving out of Texas after Christmas,” she says. “I lived there for 18 years and always felt like I stuck out. As I got older it seemed like everything I wanted to achieve was going to happen elsewhere.  It came to a point where I really needed to take some space from being home and this song was my key to the door out.” Harriette is gearing up to release her debut EP, I Heart The Internet, on April 27th, 2023. -Dan Peeke.
